As always, I hope that this message finds you well. I continue to miss you very much and hope that we can soon begin to gather with one another again. I will begin to address that matter, along with a number of other topics.
It is important as we make our way through this that we take good care of ourselves and one another. The fact that we are making real progress in this crisis is testimony that the things that we are doing to fight the disease are working. These include extra effort at washing our hands, wearing masks, keeping appropriate distance from one another when we are out, and staying at home as much as we possibly can. Now is not the time to ease up on these things.
We have received permission to begin bringing our catechumens and candidates into the Church and to give them the Sacraments of Initiation. We still need to keep those present to under 10, and they need to maintain six- to 10-feet distance from one another. Therefore we will not receive them as a group, but individually. I have contacted them and am in the process of making arrangements for their reception. Please keep them in your prayers as they prepare to enter into the Church.
Let us keep one another in prayers during this time. Even if we are physically separated, we can still be united in heart and mind.
