I have seen a number of people who have returned to church over the past few weeks. They have gotten their vaccine, and now feel safe to be in a church setting with other people.

I am looking forward to more and more returning in the next few months. All of us are looking forward to the day when we have been able to put this pandemic behind us, and return to normal, not just in terms of church, but in all aspects of our lives.

As I have expressed from time to time, I am concerned about those who may not return to the practice of the faith as we make our way through this pandemic. Some who have gotten comfortable over the past year with not going to church may not feel motivated to start attending when it is safe for them to do so.

Those who exist on the edges of the Church are of great concern to me. I hope that you will join me in praying for them, that they will discover that hunger for Christ in the Eucharist and in his Word that are the basis of our Mass.
