On Tuesday, September 1, at 6:30 pm, we began the convert instruction classes for those who are interested in becoming Catholic. Classes take place in the church hall. If you are interested in becoming Catholic, it’s not too late to come and learn more about what we offer.

These classes fall under the heading of the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults, or RCIA. There are three primary groups for which these classes are designed:

  1. Those who are not baptized in any Christian denomination but who wish to explore joining the Catholic Church.
  2. Those who are baptized in another Christian denomination but who are interested in learning more about the Catholic faith and perhaps to join the Catholic Church.
  3. And those who were baptized as children but were not raised in the Church and have not made their First Holy Communion or their Confirmation.

If you fall into any of these categories, I really want to hear from you. Please call me at 859-816-3198 or just show up. Inquiring about the classes is not a commitment to taking part in them. And attending the classes is not a commitment that you will actually join the Catholic Church. At any point you can choose not to continue, and your decision will be absolutely respected.

If you know someone who might be interested in joining and exploring becoming Catholic, gently and lovingly let them know about these sessions. You can also contact me and give me their name and number, and I will contact them, and invite them to participate. There will be only an invitation, and no pressure.
