I am sure you know the great work that Saint Vincent de Paul Society does, serving the less fortunate of our community. Most parishes have a Saint Vincent group who visit those who are in need, evaluate what kind of assistance is needed, and then try to provide it. This includes food, furniture, prescription medicines, rent and utilities. Because so many people are out of work now (the highest unemployment since the Great Depression), there are constant requests for assistance.

The quarterly collection for Saint Vincent de Paul, here at Mother of God, would have taken place this Sunday, May 17. Obviously, because of the current situation, we cannot have that collection. It would be a great help if you could mail in your contributions to Saint Vincent de Paul.

Mail donations to: Saint Vincent de Paul Society, Mother of God Church, 119 West Sixth Street, Covington, Kentucky 41011. You can make checks payable directly to Saint Vincent de Paul, or you can make then out to Mother of God Church. Make it clear that this is intended for SVDP. We will forward the money to them.
