On Tuesday, Feb. 3, we celebrate the Feast of St. Blaise, Bishop and Martyr. On that day, we use candles blessed on the Feast of the Presentation, to bless throats, using the blessing, “Through the intercession of St. Blaise, Bishop and Martyr, may God deliver you from all ailments of the throat, and from every other evil, in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.”
