bridge closure begins this week

In Romans 8:35-39, St. Paul assures us that "neither death nor life, neither angels nor principalities, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers … nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

We might also add bridge closings to the list.

The Rt. 8/Fourth St. Bridge over the Licking River between Covington and Newport will close Monday, Jan. 12, at 9 am, to all vehicles, pedestrians and bicyclists. The closure is expected to last through Summer 2028 while a replacement bridge is built.

For those who drive to Mother of God Church for Mass or meetings, you can use the Girl Scout Bridge between Covington and Newport, Brent Spence Bridge, Clay Wade Bailey Bridge, or the Taylor Southgate Bridge as a detour.
TANK (Transit Authority of Northern Kentucky) will provide a shuttle service for pedestrians. More information can be found here: www.ky8bridge.org.
