mother of god celebrates christmas
Mother of God Church was bursting at the seams on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day 2025. Fr. Mike Comer reported that more than 700 people attended Christmas Eve Mass at 4 pm. Add to that the approximately 800 who attended the 9:30 and 11:30 am Masses combined on Christmas Day, and it totals over 1,500 people who came to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ.
The sanctuary looked stunning with cascades of red and white poinsettias on either side of the rear and front altars. The Nativity scene in front of St. Joseph's altar was surrounded by evergreen trees decked with white lights. And, as usual, organist/vocalist Meg Booker and the Mother of God Contemporary Ensemble expertly led their respective congregations in singing carols during Mass.
Thanks to everyone who helped make our Christmas celebration special and to all who attended the liturgies. If anyone is interested in learning more about the Catholic faith or in returning to the Church, please call Fr. Comer at 859-816-3198.
