invite a friend to easter mass

Many of us have family and friends who no longer regularly attend Mass, and we have family and friends who belong to no particular denomination or church. Like Christmas, many of these are more open to come to church at Easter than at other times of the year. When non-church goers are asked why they never go to church, the most common response is, “No one ever asked me.” That is truly a tragedy.

Who will you invite to attend Mass with you this Easter? When you offer the invitation, do so in a non-judgmental and non-manipulative way. Don’t tell them that they ought to be going to church. Chances are, they already know that. Has guilting someone into going to church worked for you in the past? Well, it isn’t going to work any better in the future.

Also, before you ask, pray for the person you want to invite. Say a rosary or at least a decade for them and ask God to give you the right words and the right attitude so that your invitation is truly loving and gentle.

We are sowing seeds here, and some will bloom, and some will not. We sow the seed, and it is God’s job to give the growth.

You may help God change someone’s life.
