Jail Ministry Volunteer Open House

Catholic Charities will hold an open house for anyone interested in jail ministry on Wednesday, Oct. 8, from 6:30 to 8 pm, at 3629 Church St., Covington, KY. Whether you're a longtime volunteer or exploring new ways to serve, come connect, learn, and discover how you can make a difference in the lives of those we serve through jail ministry.

Diocesan Pro-Life Mass

Bible Study: Old Testament Workshops

The Office of Catechesis and Evangelization is offering workshops on three Books of the Old Testament, presented by Fr. Timothy P. Schehr. Fr. Schehr is a retired biblical scholar and former professor at Mount St. Mary’s School of Theology at the Athenaeum of Ohio. He has a BA, MDiv, and an MA from the Athenaeum of Ohio. He also has a PhD from Hebrew Union College.

Workshops are all held Saturday morning, 10–11:30 a.m., Diocese of Covington, Curia Office

2025 Workshops – Isaiah: Nov. 1 – Session 1 and Nov. 15 – Session 2.
2026 Workshops – Job: March 7 – Session 1, March 14 – Session 2, April 11 – Session 3, and April 18 – Session 4.

Everyone is welcome to attend! The cost for each workshop session is $35 cash or checks at the door.

AL-Anon holds their Wednesday noon meetings at Mother of God Church. Enter through the courtyard and go down the steps to the undercroft of the church. Al-Anon has but one purpose: to help families and friends of alcoholics and addicted ones.

Free Support Group for Parents of Addicted Loved Ones

Parents of Addicted Loved Ones (PAL) meets the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays of the month, from 6:30 to 8 pm, at Catholic Charities. It provides continuing education and support, at no charge, for parents with a son, daughter or spouse suffering from addiction to alcohol or drugs. No cost. Just come.
