Holiday Craft Show

St. Joseph Church, Cold Spring, will host their annual PTO craft show on Saturday, Nov. 8, from 10 am-3 pm, in Memorial Hall and the gymnasium at 4011 Alexandria Pike. Admission is $3. Kids get in free. Get a head start on your Christmas shopping with unique, handmade gifts.

Saluting Our Heroes

Bible Study: Old Testament Workshops

The Office of Catechesis and Evangelization is offering workshops on three Books of the Old Testament, presented by Fr. Timothy P. Schehr. Fr. Schehr is a retired biblical scholar and former professor at Mount St. Mary’s School of Theology at the Athenaeum of Ohio. He has a BA, MDiv, and an MA from the Athenaeum of Ohio. He also has a PhD from Hebrew Union College.

Workshops are all held Saturday morning, 10–11:30 a.m., Diocese of Covington, Curia Office

2025 Workshops – Isaiah: Nov. 1 – Session 1 and Nov. 15 – Session 2.
2026 Workshops – Job: March 7 – Session 1, March 14 – Session 2, April 11 – Session 3, and April 18 – Session 4.

Everyone is welcome to attend! The cost for each workshop session is $35 cash or checks at the door.

If praying with others and for others is something that interests you, the newly formed Mother of God Prayer Team invites you to join us.
   
This is a very simple way to get involved without leaving your home! Each week, Mary Ann Kelly, pastoral assistant, will email a list of prayer intentions, including the Remember in Prayer list in our bulletin, and you can pray as your life allows.

Fair Trade Coffee, Tea and Chocolate Sale

Fair Trade/Equal Exchange coffee, chocolate, and tea will be available for sale on Sunday, Nov. 2, from 10:30 -11:15 am downstairs in the undercroft. A greater variety of teas are now available.

Night at the Races

Holy Cross High School Athletics presents the Pat Taney Night at the Races on Saturday, Nov. 1, at the Holy Cross Gym-Monsignor Finn Center, 36th & Church Streets in Covington, KY. Doors open at 6:30 pm with races starting at 7 pm. There will be 10 races with a 10-horse field and pari-mutuel betting, silent auction, horse auction, raffles and prizes. Admission is $15 each and includes two beer tickets. Water and soda are free. Everyone 21 or over is invited to attend. All proceeds benefit Holy Cross High School. Charitable Gaming # ORG 0000063.

St. Vincent dePaul's 18th Annual Turkeyfoot Trot 5K Run/Walk

Join us for St. Vincent dePaul's 18th annual Turkeyfoot Trot 5K Run/Walk, starting at 9 am on Saturday, Nov. 15, at Thomas More University. Pre-register now at www.svdpnky.org. $20 for adults and $15 for children 14 and under, with race-day registration priced at $30 for adults and $25 for children 14 years and under.

Welcome to Al-Anon

AL-Anon holds their Wednesday noon meetings at Mother of God Church. Enter through the courtyard and go down the steps to the undercroft of the church. Al-Anon has but one purpose: to help families and friends of alcoholics and addicted ones.

Free Support Group for Parents of Addicted Loved Ones

Parents of Addicted Loved Ones (PAL) meets the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays of the month, from 6:30 to 8 pm, at Catholic Charities. It provides continuing education and support, at no charge, for parents with a son, daughter or spouse suffering from addiction to alcohol or drugs. No cost. Just come.
