Some things in life are too horrific for words. And tragically, those events, like school shootings, have become so commonplace, we are no longer shocked. The phrase "thoughts and prayers" rings hollow, and we long for meaningful action to stop this evil in our midst. But even as we struggle to find effective solutions that will keep our children safe, we must not lose sight of prayer as the most powerful tool each of us has to bring about change. So, while we mourn with the parish family of Annunciation Catholic Church following the mass shooting there earlier this week, here is a litany we can all pray to lift this burden of grief to God.
