OCIA classes start sept. 2

The Catholic Church provides a process known as the Order of Christian Initiation of Adults (OCIA, formerly known as RCIA) for those who over the age of nine to become Catholic. It is a process of catechesis (education in the Catholic faith, as well as certain rites and prayers to help them process.
There are three categories for those seeking entrance into the Church:
Our OCIA sessions will begin on Tuesday, Sept. 2, and they will run every Tuesday from 6:30-8 pm. Anyone who is interested in learning more about these sessions is encouraged to call Fr. Comer at 859-816-3198 for more information.

- Catechumens—those who have never been baptized into any denomination
- Candidates—those baptized in another Christian denomination, but who now wish to become full members of the Catholic Church, and
- Baptized, but uncatechized Catholics—those baptized as children but not raised in the Church.
