I am writing this almost two weeks before this Sunday, as I will be traveling, but will return by this Sunday, May 4. Not possessing the gift of seeing into the future, I do not know if a new pope has been elected or not. If he has not, please pray for the cardinals who have the responsibility of discerning the wisdom of the Holy Spirit, and of choosing who will be the next leader of our Church. If he has already been elected, or if we are still waiting for his election, pray for the man who will shoulder the great burden of being the pope. His responsibilities are immense, as he seeks to govern the 1.4 billion Catholics living in very different circumstances and facing many different problems.
