st. vincent de paul holds quarterly collection

Following the Masses on May 11, MoG Vincentians will be accepting monetary donations to help our neighbors. The neighbors we visit have many stories; minimum wage jobs, part-time jobs, small social security and disability incomes, spousal abuse and illnesses that preclude working temporarily equaling no income. They are just having difficulty keeping up with the increased cost of living with rent, utilities, food, and transportation.

We work with local agencies that sometimes have grant funds to assist with some of their more dramatic needs. We work with landlords and utility companies to avoid shut offs and evictions. We provide food vouchers and vouchers for clothing, housewares and furniture at the SVDP stores for the goods you have donated there. MOG Vincentians visit families in their homes, sometimes in the library if they have no home and we listen to their stories. We bring the love and generosity of our MOG faith family to those we visit.

SVDP envelopes are available in the pews and boxes at church entrances. Any checks should be made to MOG SVDP.

We are so grateful for your generosity and prayers that make this ministry possible. We remember you in our prayers.
