scavenger hunt turns up good times
The second annual Mother of God Scavenger Hunt proved to be a fun event on Wednesday, May 14, despite rain in the earlier part of the day.
Participants gathered at 6:30 pm in the courtyard. They then set out in teams of four to scour downtown Covington, armed with a list of items to find and cell phones to capture images of them. The items included such things as mythical creatures, an animal that's illegal to own and something related to Mother of God that isn't Mother of God.
The first team to reach the final destination (Braxton Brewery's rooftop) was the winner. But because the rules were applied loosely and the main objective was fun, everyone who wanted them received tickets to a Reds game.
The scavenger hunt was sponsored by the Young Adult Group but was open to all.
