We continue to make progress on restoring our sound system, which was heavily damaged by a lightning strike on Nov. 18.

Ovation Audiovisual is the vendor we are working with on this project. They have determined that the system was greatly compromised by the strike and needs to be completely replaced. We have reviewed their proposal and consulted our insurance company. The next step is to get approval from the diocese so we can sign the contract and move forward. Once the contract is signed, it will take a few weeks to order and receive all the necessary materials and another two weeks to install them. Meanwhile, Ovation has installed a temporary sound system that will get us through Advent and the Christmas season. 

Mother of God is a challenging place to amplify the spoken word and music in a way that sounds natural and intelligible. For this reason, we have engaged the consulting services of a nationally known acoustical architect who is familiar with our space and understands our needs.

Additionally, our streaming capability has been fully restored, so daily and Sunday Masses, as well as Fr. Mike's talks will be available online.
