Wellness session builds connections
On Friday evening, Sept. 19, a group of 23 men and women converged on the courtyard at Mother of God, carrying exercise mats, towels and water bottles. They were there for a wellness session designed to promote flexibility, strength and balance. It also helped build community within the parish.
Instructor Lynn Molitor led the class through a series of stretches and movements for the next hour, accompanied by the soothing trickle of the fountain. Afterward, the group enjoyed nibbling on cheese and sipping wine. The free event was the perfect way to wind down after a busy work week.
"The weather was perfect," said Andrea Menzer-Feebeck, who coordinated the session. "Based on all the positive feedback from people who attended, we hope to do this again."
