quarterly collection helps neighbors in need

Following each Mass on Sunday, May 10, Mother of God Vincentians will be taking up a collection at each church exit at the end of Mass. The continued generosity of parishioners has allowed us to bring much needed help to our neighbors, by helping them to remain housed, some with needed utility help, with food and with vouchers to SVDP stores for clothing, household items and furniture.

Your donations to the SVDP stores make these vouchers possible. Sale of items from the stores to bargain hunters also raises money for the bed, fan and air condition programs that benefit our neighbors too. We partner with other local agencies that might have funds for rent and utilities and then help folks set up payment plans. Many of our neighbors are just one adverse event away from a dire outcome for themselves and families.

Envelopes are available in the pews and boxes at the church entrances. Any checks should be made to MOG SVDP. We also have a QR code on each donation bucket for folks who prefer this mode of transferring money.

We thank you for your generosity, and we let our neighbors know that it is your generosity and love that make this help possible. Thank you for making it possible for us to help our neighbors.
