Thank a veteran

Nov. 11 is Veterans Day here in the United States. World War I officially ended when the armistice with Germany officially took place on the 11th day of the 11th month at 11 am. It was originally known as Armistice Day in the United States, Remembrance Day in Canada, and had other titles in other countries. It was to honor all veterans of World War I. In 1954, following World War II and the Korean War, President Eisenhower signed a bill changing the name from Armistice Day to Veterans Day, as a holiday to honor veterans of all American Wars.
Sadly, in its history, America has been involved in many wars, with far too many deaths and injuries. We honor all of those men and women, and all who have served in our nation’s military.
To all, thank you for your service!
