an invitation for young adults

The Diocese of Covington is coordinating a pilgrimage to World Youth Day 2027 in Seoul, South Korea, for young adults ages 18 to 35. The trip is scheduled for July 30-Aug. 10, 2027. Experience the universality of the Catholic Church in the presence of our Holy Father, Pope Leo XIV, alongside millions of young adult Catholics from around the world. The pilgrimage includes a trip to a sacred landscape marked by the sacrifices of early Catholic martyrs. Sites like Danggogae, Saenamteo, Seosomun, and Jeoldusan Martyrs’ Shrine. Bishop John Iffert hopes to join the pilgrims along with a few priests and deacons from the diocese.
     
The estimated cost is $5,500 per person and includes round-trip airfare, transportation, lodging, meals (from WYD), and tours. To reserve your spot, the initial payment of $350 is due by Wednesday, Dec. 31, 2025. The full amount must be paid by Monday, March 15, 2027.
