young adult group off to a great start
On Wednesday, June 24, we held a cookout and meeting to form a new Young Adult Group for Mother of God. The group is for anyone, ages 20-35 (roughly), who is looking for connection and community. We promoted the event heavily, and it paid off. Sixty people responded to the invitation!
We gathered in the parish courtyard for a meet-and-greet and then went to the undercroft for food. After that, Michael Schulte, our seminarian, gave a brief witness talk on his journey into his relationship with Christ and his call to the priesthood.
We also took a few minutes to talk about future structure and organization.
We plan, for now, to meet every two weeks for prayer, faith sharing and food and fellowship. Our next meeting will be at 6:30 pm on Wednesday, July 8, in the church hall. If you are interested, but could not meet this past week, please know that you are welcome to attend.
