This Thursday, May 9, is the traditional date for the Ascension of the Lord, 50 days after Easter. For many years now, the United States Catholic Church has moved the celebration of the Ascension to the Sunday following, to accommodate those who have a difficult time getting to Mass during the week. So, the feast will actually be celebrated next Sunday.
