We will begin the classes for those interested in becoming Catholic in a couple of months. Fr. Mike Comer would like to meet anyone who is considering joining the Church, or those who would at least like to learn more about the faith. Please call him at 859-816-3198.
For about 45 years we have referred to these classes as the RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults). Recently the Church made a change in this title. It is now called the Order of Christian Initiation of Adults (OCIA).
Says Fr. Comer, "People ask me why they chose to change the name, and I always say that the only reason that I can think of is that they could. From time to time, all bureaucracies have to stir things up so that it looks like they actually have a purpose. But that is the new name. For now."
