climate change is a pro-life issue

One of the more controversial of the many issues facing us today is that of climate change. I think that almost everyone agrees that the climate is changing. The issue is how much of that change is simply the way that climate change has happened naturally throughout the millennia, and how much of the change is being caused by human activity. I do not know the answer to that question, although I do have my own thoughts on the matter. My feeling is that whether we humans are a primary cause of climate change, or a lesser cause, climate change looks as though it will bring calamitous destruction to our planet.
As oceans rise, coastland cities and communities will be wiped out, and millions will need to move to higher ground. Climate change patterns will create new deserts and wastelands where people can no longer live, and this will create massive migration as people seek new homes and homelands. Many studies project that hundreds of thousands, if not millions, will die because of these changes.
Whether our contribution to these issues is large or small, we want to find ways to limit those contributions as much as possible. We want to hand on to our children and grandchildren a planet that is healthier than the one we have inherited.
Climate change is a pro-life issue, and during this Pro-Life Month of October, we want to remember that and choose to do our part to make things better.
