DPAA: Next week is commitment sunday

Last Sunday, we watched the video of Bishop Iffert introducing the 2024 Diocesan Parish Annual Appeal. My favorite part of the video was the young man from Prince of Peace who said that when he first came to school there he did not know much about God. “But then, Bamm! There He was!” I got a real kick out of that.
We will have Commitment Sunday next week. Many of you fill out the commitment card and bring it to church already filled out and drop it in the collection. Others do the commitment online, sending the pledge directly to the Curia. For those who have not filled the cards out, we will have them in the pews and will take a few minutes at the beginning of Mass, so you can fill them out.
Thank you for your great generosity.
Please remember that the DPAA is also a great way to donate to Mother of God. Whatever pledges come in after we have met the goal set for us by the diocese ($58,600) comes back directly to Mother of God. Those funds are not taxed by the diocese, as is all other parish income. Often people ask how they can donate to Mother of God, and those donations remain at Mother of God. The DPAA is the best way to do that.
