Survivors of Suicide Loss Support Group

The next meeting of the Survivors of Suicide Loss Support Group is Wednesday, May 6, 6:30-8 pm, here at Mother of God.

This group is for family members and friends of persons who have ended their own lives. Group meetings are held on the first Wednesday of each month in the St. Aloysius Conference Room at the parish office.

Craft Show

St. John's Dames in Faith will host the first annual Dames in Faith May Market on Saturday, May 2, from 10 am to 3 pm, in the Prince of Peace auditorium. The market will feature more than 15 vendors, selling unique jewelry, hand-poured candles, 3D-printed treasures, candy and more—just in time for Mother's Day. There will also be a designated area for kids to make crafts and color, play games and participate in basket and candy raffles. Park for free in the St. John's lot or the overfill lot underneath the I-75 overpass.

Partners in Hope for the Poor Annual Dinner

Mark your calendar for Thursday, June 4, for the Partners in Hope for the Poor Annual Dinner, benefiting the Friends of the Rose Garden Mission. The Mother of God Senior Group is sharing information about established overnight and day trips that have already been organized. On the bulletin board at the bottom of the steps leading to the church hall is the Golden Age Travel Schedule for 2026. It includes overnight and day trips. AL-Anon holds their Wednesday noon meetings at Mother of God Church. Enter through the courtyard and go down the steps to the undercroft of the church. Al-Anon has but one purpose: to help families and friends of alcoholics and addicted ones.

Free Support Group for Parents of Addicted Loved Ones

Parents of Addicted Loved Ones (PAL) meets the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays of the month, from 6:30 to 8 pm, at Catholic Charities. It provides continuing education and support, at no charge, for parents with a son, daughter or spouse suffering from addiction to alcohol or drugs. No cost. Just come.
