Students will get credit for any course they complete. You can complete courses on your own time. Franciscan keeps track of your time and place, and you can stop and go as needed.

Free Backpacks for NKY Students in Covington

Free backpacks will be given away at the Backpacks Bonanza at St. Elizabeth Healthcare in Covington, from 9 am to noon, on Saturday, Aug. 8, to Northern Kentucky students in pre-school through the 12th grade, including home schoolers. Parents/guardians should bring photo IDs for themselves, a recent piece of mail or lease with their current address, and Social Security or medical cards for their kids. Survivors of Suicide Loss Meet

The Survivors of Suicide Loss Support Group here at Mother of God is for family members and friends of persons who have ended their own lives. Group meetings are held on the first Wednesday of each month in the St. Aloysius Conference Room at the parish office.

Golden Age Travel Schedule

The Mother of God Senior Group is sharing information about established overnight and day trips that have already been organized. On the bulletin board at the bottom of the steps leading to the church hall is the Golden Age Travel Schedule for 2026. It includes overnight and day trips. If there are no notices left on the board, please notify Carol Fausz, 859-409-3730, and she will get a copy to you.

F3NKY (Fitness. Fellowship. Faith) recently began meeting here to workout in Mother of God Parish’s north parking lot. You are invited to join in on these FREE men’s workouts. Always free, always held outdoors, peer-led in rotating fashion, ends with a circle of trust. Don’t miss out!

Mass of Belonging

Bishop John Iffert will preside over the Mass of Belonging on Tuesday, Sept. 15, at 6 pm, at the Cathedral Basilica of the Assumption. This is a special Mass intended to create a sense of belonging in our diocese, parishes, and Catholic schools for those with learning differences and disabilities. St. Philip Festival and Golf Ball Drop

St. Philip presents its annual festival and golf ball drop on Saturday, Aug. 15, from 5:30-11:30 pm (golf ball drop is at 7 pm), on the parish grounds, 5746 Mary Ingles Highway, Melbourne, KY. The event features live music, grilled meats, a bar, poker, split-the-pot, bankers and more, plus an expanded funland for the kids. Win $5,000 at the golf ball drop or take a chance on three bourbon baskets, including a complete Weller set. Fun for all ages!

Support Group for Divorced and Separated Catholics

Catholic Charities in Covington will host a new session for divorced and separated Catholics beginning Tuesday, Aug. 18, and running on consecutive Tuesdays through Oct. 6, from 7-8:30 pm. New Beginnings is an 8-week program that provides the opportunity to heal and move forward despite a complicated situation. Led by facilitators who have been through their own personal losses.

AL-Anon holds their Wednesday noon meetings at Mother of God Church. Enter through the courtyard and go down the steps to the undercroft of the church. Al-Anon has but one purpose: to help families and friends of alcoholics and addicted ones.

Free Support Group for Parents of Addicted Loved Ones

Parents of Addicted Loved Ones (PAL) meets the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays of the month, from 6:30 to 8 pm, at Catholic Charities. It provides continuing education and support, at no charge, for parents with a son, daughter or spouse suffering from addiction to alcohol or drugs. No cost. Just come.
