Catholic Family Night at Great American Ballpark, Sept. 5, will see the Reds take on the Brewers while celebrating the theme of “Love in Action!" The event is co-hosted by the Archdiocese of Cincinnati and the Diocese of Covington and will celebrate the loving ministries of Catholic Charities with volunteers being recognized throughout the game for their service to our local communities.

Notre Dame Urban Education Center is seeking adult volunteers to tutor children in grades K-8 one day a week in the Homework Plus Program, which runs Monday through Thursday, from 3 pm–5 pm (openings available every day). Tutors provide homework assistance, reading and writing support, and help with educational skill-building activities. The program begins Tuesday, Sept. 8, and runs through Thursday, May 13, 2027. Bishop John Iffert will preside over the Mass of Belonging on Tuesday, Sept. 15, at 6 pm, at the Cathedral Basilica of the Assumption. This is a special Mass intended to create a sense of belonging in our diocese, parishes, and Catholic schools for those with learning differences and disabilities. Catholic Charities in Covington will host a new session for divorced and separated Catholics beginning Tuesday, Aug. 18, and running on consecutive Tuesdays through Oct. 6, from 7-8:30 pm. New Beginnings is an 8-week program that provides the opportunity to heal and move forward despite a complicated situation. Led by facilitators who have been through their own personal losses.

AL-Anon holds their Wednesday noon meetings at Mother of God Church. Enter through the courtyard and go down the steps to the undercroft of the church. Al-Anon has but one purpose: to help families and friends of alcoholics and addicted ones.

Parents of Addicted Loved Ones (PAL) meets the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays of the month, from 6:30 to 8 pm, at Catholic Charities. It provides continuing education and support, at no charge, for parents with a son, daughter or spouse suffering from addiction to alcohol or drugs. No cost. Just come.
