prayer team gets social
On April 2, the Prayer Team met in the church hall for a potluck luncheon. Says Mary Ann Kelly, pastoral assistant, "We had a great afternoon enjoying delicious food and getting to know each other."
The Prayer Team is a newly formed ministry at Mother of God. Volunteers pray with and for others, including those who are on the "Remember in Prayer" list in the weekly bulletin. Other intentions come from the prayer request form that can be found on the parish website.
Anyone who feels inclined can join the Prayer Team. Each week, Mary Ann sends out a list of intentions, and you can pray from the comfort of your own home at any time that fits your schedule. It's a simple but powerful way to get involved in the parish.
