new study suggests more than two-thirds of catholics believe the eucharist is truly jesus

In 2019, the Pew Research Center published a study that stated only a third of Catholics believe that Jesus is truly present in the Eucharist--a finding that shocked Church leaders and was the impetus for a national Eucharistic Revival. Now, however, a new study conducted by Vinea Research refutes the accuracy of the Pew survey with more favorable results. Their research, completed in late 2022, indicates that more than two-thirds of Catholics believe that Jesus is present in the Eucharist. An article published in the National Catholic Register explains the reason for this discrepancy.

join us for eucharistic adoration

One of the most effective ways to strengthen our faith in the presence of Christ in the Blessed Sacrament is to take part in Eucharistic Adoration. This involves exposing the Blessed Sacrament on the altar in the monstrance. We can also practice Eucharistic Adoration by praying before the Tabernacle, when the host is not exposed in the monstrance.

We have Eucharistic Adoration every Tuesday from 11 am to 11:45 am. Unfortunately, we have very few people participating in this devotion. I encourage those of you who can, to take this time to be with Christ.
