Take a fantastic journey

What was once referred to in the Church as the RCIA (Rite of Catholic Initiation of Adults), is now called the OCIA (Order of Christian Initiation of Adults). Both refer to the process that one goes through in order to become Catholic.
We also make a distinction between baptized Christians and those who are not baptized. Those not baptized, who go through this process, are known as catechumens. Those who have been baptized in some other Christian denomination are called candidates. The Catholic faith recognizes most non-Catholic baptisms, though there are some exceptions. One other category is dedicated to those who are baptized but are not catechized Catholics. These were baptized as children but never actively brought up in the faith. They did not receive catechesis and have not made the Sacraments of Eucharist and/or Confirmation. They need preparation to receive these sacraments.
If you fit into any of these three categories, please contact Fr. Mike Comer at 859-816-3198 to begin the process of becoming part of the Catholic Church. It will be the journey of a lifetime.
