Passion narratives continue

We have begun a series of reflections on the Passion Narratives of the New Testament. All four Gospels include a Passion Narrative, beginning with the story of the Last Supper, and going on to the burial of Christ.
This week (on Thursday at 10:30 am and at 6:30 pm), we will begin to look at the Last Supper. Our focus will be on the account given to us in the Synoptic Gospels of Matthew, Luke and Mark. Next week we will look at John’s presentation of the Last Supper, which is radically different from that of the Synoptics.
I hope that these reflections will help prepare you for the upcoming season of Lent. During Lent, we will take time to look at the Resurrection accounts in all four Gospels.
