join the march for life

The Day of Prayer for the Legal Protection of Unborn Children still reflects the day on which the Supreme Court ruled Roe v Wade to be the law of the land, even though Roe v Wade was overturned a few years ago. That date is this Wednesday, Jan. 22.

For many years, there was a massive march on Washington, DC, on that day. I was privileged to be part of it. Most of those who joined in were young people from Catholic schools from all over the Eastern part of the United States. Several years, we took students from St. Patrick in Maysville.

The March for Life is now a state event and will be held on Wednesday, Feb. 12. It will begin with Mass at Good Shepherd Church in Frankfort, at 9:30 am. At 11:30 am, there will be a concert and prayer at the steps of the capitol building. The rally will follow at noon with speakers, followed by the march from the steps of the capitol to the Kentucky Memorial for the Unborn.
