prayer is transformative

The Prayer Team is our newest ministry at Mother of God, and so far, we have about 35-40 members. This is a ministry that anyone can do, regardless of physical ability, financial status or time constraints. We recently asked the team why they volunteered to be part of this endeavor. Here is what Blanche Schuh said:
Indeed, the invitation to be a part of Mother of God Prayer Team has impacted my daily life. Never before have I made time on a daily basis to pray for others whom I may not know. The experience has changed me. Even though I have had full awareness of the pain and worry that others in our world experience, I have never realized that I need to take a part of the outreach to God to ask for intervention for their suffering. It makes sense!! Yes, we are the body of Christ. Why have I never fully realized my part in offering our pain to Jesus?
The daily rosary that Dick and I offer for the intentions of others will be a life-time practice now that I have been invited to join with others in asking Jesus to respond and heal those who have asked for prayers.
If you would like to join the Prayer Team, contact Mary Ann Kelly at mkelly@mogcov.org or 859-291-2288 ext. 16.
