sisters of notre dame are grateful for 150 years

The Sisters of Notre Dame celebrated 150 years of their order's arrival in the United States this past Sunday, Aug. 4, at Mother of God. They chose to hold the Mass here because their first mission in 1874 was to teach at our parish school.

Bishop John Iffert and Bishop Emeritus Roger Foys celebrated the Mass along with Fr. Mike Comer, our pastor, and Fr. Robert Ross, chaplain to the order. A large crowd turned out in support of the sisters who have served the Diocese of Covington so well throughout the years.

Following the Mass, the sisters hosted a reception at St. Joseph Heights in Park Hills. Sincere and heartfelt thanks to all the Sisters of Notre Dame who have had a tremendous impact on the lives of so many.
