St. Joseph is one of the only saints to have more than one feast day. There is the Feast of St. Joseph the Worker on May 1, and the Feast of St. Joseph, the Spouse of the Blessed Mother on this Tuesday, March 19. This is a feast day which should be especially important to all men. Our society is facing a crisis of men in general and fathers in particular. Kids growing up without a strong father figure in their lives are more likely to end up in jail, on drugs, and to grow up in a poverty-stricken family.
