Most of you have at least heard of the TV show, The Chosen, and some of you have watched some or all of it. I have watched the first three seasons of the show and have been very moved and impressed by the quality of the show. As I have mentioned, I usually am not a fan of religious programming, because it is so badly done that it is often embarrassing and even irritating. I am very happy to report that The Chosen is very different. It is well written, acted, and produced.
   
We will be showing the series here at Mother of God, beginning on Thursday, May 2, at 10 am, and again at 6:30 pm, in the parish hall. We invite all of you to join us. The first season is made up of eight episodes. We will then take a break, and probably begin season two in late summer or early fall.
   
Especially if you have not seen the series, check it out. I think you will enjoy it and learn a great deal from it. So often the Gospels give us just very brief snapshots of the Jesus stories. The Chosen really does an excellent job in those areas.

Each viewing will begin with a short introduction, end with small group sharing, and will last approximately an hour and a half. Bring your own drink or snack to enjoy while watching!
