By His Cross, We Are Redeemed

In the 4th century, St. Helena, the mother of Emperor Constantine, made a pilgrimage to Jerusalem. While there, she discovered the location of the True Cross of Jesus and brought it back to Rome. The Cross of Jesus is the most important relic that the Church possesses, for it is on the Cross that Jesus won salvation for us all.

This Sunday, the 14th of September, is the Feast of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross, when we as a Church honor this Cross.
   
Here at Mother of God, we possess a relic of the Cross. I will be using it to bless us all at the end of Mass.
