Pray the Rosary
Oct. 20, 2024
In 1917 the Blessed Mother began appearing to three children in Fatima Portugal. Both Francisco and Jacinta died relatively young, but Lucy, the oldest, lived until Feb. 13, 2005. In an interview in 1957, she spoke of the messages that the children had received, and at the end of the interview, she added the following, concerning the importance and the power of praying the rosary.
“The most Holy Virgin, in these last times, in which we live, has given a new efficacy to the recitation of the rosary, to such an extent that there is no problem, no matter how difficult it is, whether temporal or, above all spiritual, in the personal life of each one of us, in our families, or in the families of the world, or of the religious communities, or of the life of peoples and nations, that cannot be solved by the rosary. There is no problem, I tell you, no matter how difficult it is, that we cannot resolve by the praying of the rosary. With the rosary, we will save ourselves. We will sanctify ourselves. We will console Our Lord and obtain the salvation of many souls.”
In this month of the Holy Rosary, we are reminded by the Church of the significance of praying the rosary. Our Blessed Mother asked that we pray the rosary daily. Let us listen to her and discover the power of this most important form of prayer.
